Born and raised in New York/New England I became hooked on
fishing at the age of three. Then, to the dismay of my
parents, they discovered that I had climbed out of my bedroom
window and walked ½ a mile to a deep running river. Initially
relieved and then angry, my father found me with a self-made
fishing rod (a willow branch- equally handy as a switch),
using some thread as line and a safety pin as a hook. |
